Understanding Results
Interpret your Aulys accessibility scores, breakdown the types of violations found, and learn the best practices for prioritizing fixes.
Your Accessibility Score
Every scan provides an aggregate compliance score ranging from 0 to 100. This score is mathematically derived based on the proportion of passed WCAG criteria relative to the total applicable criteria for your page type.
Poor Compliance
Subject to high legal risk. Immediate critical remediation is required.
Moderate Compliance
Standard accessibility barriers exist. Focus on keyboard support and contrast.
Excellent Compliance
Very few barriers. Ensure manual reviewing covers subjective criteria.
Violation Severity
We categorize individual issues into three distinct severities to help your engineering team triage effectively:
Critical Violations
Directly prevents users with disabilities from accessing core functionality. Examples include missing form labels, trapping keyboard focuses, or elements lacking ARIA roles.
Warnings
Causes frustration or difficulty, though workarounds might exist. Examples include insufficient text contrast (below 4.5:1) or duplicate heading levels.
Best Practices (Info)
Does not strictly violate WCAG, but optimizing these will create a tangibly better user experience for screen reader users.
