Is the Starter plan really free forever?: Yes. No credit card, no trial expiry. You get 5 scans per month and can run a WCAG 2.2 audit on any URL at no cost. Upgrade when you need AI fixes or report generation.
What counts as a "scan"?: One scan = one URL analysed. A full site crawl of 50 pages counts as 50 scans. Figma Plugin audits are counted separately per file.
Does Aulys replace a manual accessibility audit?: Automated scanning catches roughly 30–40% of WCAG violations. We're transparent about this: automated tools are essential for CI/CD regression prevention, but a manual audit (with real assistive technology users) is required for VPAT certification at the highest conformance level. Aulys gives you the best automated baseline available.
Which compliance standards do you cover?: WCAG 2.1 A/AA/AAA, WCAG 2.2, EU EAA clause mapping, US Section 508, ADA, AODA, IS 17802 (India), GIGW 3.0, and SEBI (Enterprise plans). More standards are added regularly.
Can I use Aulys in my CI/CD pipeline on the free plan?: CI/CD integration is a Pro feature. It includes GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and a CLI you can embed in any pipeline. Free plan users can call the API manually.
What's your data retention policy?: Scanned page content is processed in memory and not stored persistently on free plans. Pro and Enterprise plans retain scan reports for 180 days by default, configurable to 365 days.
